Along the shimmering waters of the Mactan Channel lies Pitak-Pitak, a social park where Cebu’s rich heritage is pieced together like a puzzle. The park captures the essence of Cebu City through the concept of a Puzzle of Identities. Celebrating key elements of the island’s culture, community, history, cuisine, crafts, mythology, and nature, each piece represents a vital part of Cebu’s identity, creating a tapestry of experiences that invites visitors to discover and connect to the Queen City of the South.

At the heart of the park stands the Crown Pavilion, a symbol of Cebu’s royal heritage and its title as the Queen City. This structure pulses with life, hosting cultural and festive performances, embodying the spiritual soul of Cebu.

Shining as a beacon of history, Magellan’s Cross is reimagined in historical markers. Commemorative installations that highlight significant events, places, or figures from Cebu’s history, serving as educational tools that connect visitors to the city’s rich past.

Nearby, the melodic hum of handcrafted guitars echoes Cebu’s rich tradition of artistry. Incorporated into the art and crafts stalls, this space invites visitors to admire the island’s creative heritage.

Lechon, Cebu’s culinary gem, represents the food stalls. These stalls celebrate the richness of Cebu’s cuisine, showcasing its vibrant flavors.

Bougainvillea fills the space with vibrant color through shaded seating areas and lush landscapes to create serene pathways. It provides both beauty and comfort while reminding visitors about preserving the environment.

The Balangay boat is reimagined as a scenic esplanade with view decks and boat ports, offering a picturesque vantage point of the surrounding waters. As the word barangay, the term for a community, originates from the Balangay, this space is a reminder of Cebu’s communal roots, where unity and shared experiences shaped the island’s identity.
