CONCEPT
With ECOlahan, a durable covering using steel framing system is designed to get through strong typhoons. The built-up arches design makes it more resilient against high speed wind disturbances. Operable storm shutters are also built to totally close the entire structure during typhoons.
You can also grow some plants on it every fine day. The proposal allows cross ventilation through wide foldable windows and a clerestory. The building is elevated from the ground to prevent damage from storm surges.
