CONCEPT
The overall development adheres to the standards of sustainability, from site planning up to construction and operational phase. The building design is inspired from the traditional dwelling in the Philippines; the Bahay Kubo. It is the national shelter of the Philippines that has been around for many years. It is a perfect example of sustainable and simple design because of its use of indigenous materials. It is specifically constructed to perfectly adopt the tropical climate of the Philippines and to be easily repaired or rebuilt once damaged by typhoon, flood or earthquake which frequented the country.
