De' Ilaw the term itself means “to lighten up”, this envisions to light up the spirit and the connection that bonds the past generation and today’s generation through appreciating the history of the growing Paco, Manila, Philippines. De’ Ilaw, a mixed-used building that envisions to have an interactive relationship between history and the new trends of the society in this generation. Nowadays, photography, graphic design, and cinematography were one of the fastest growing industry. Social media and websites plays a big role today, news, trend and all other stuffs can be seen there including the interests of this generation. Integrating today’s new trend like photography and history will create an interesting relationship between the past and the present that will give the future generations an idea about the past and the history won’t be forgotten as time pass by.
