CONCEPT

The principal concept for the design is inspired by pineapple which embodies the culture and heritage of Camarines Norte. Formosa pineapple can only be produced in the town and is classified as the sweetest variety among all types. A festival called "Pinyasan" is also being held yearly to showcase the province's prime agricultural product being shown on its colorful week-long celebration.

Formosa, as it reflects to the design form, can be seen in many ways. The facade of the main building shows the colorful variants of glasses that when reflected by sunlight, gives more life to the building. Its design also enhances air flow as it permits natural ventilation throughout the structure. The extended emergency facility and the landscapes mimics its form and the water harvesting tool with the formed landscapes in the interactive spaces, mimics the eyes of a Formosa. Its crown are the A-frames that functions as walkways.
