CONCEPT

With this in mind, we intended to design a hospital that aids these problems of the community using its local product the Rasa grass as the concept. Rasa grass is Real’s local material, its duality not only offers livelihood opportunities, but also strengthens the land it holds preventing erosion. Mimicking Rasa in the hospital depicts a dual nature, as well. It is for the hospital to be a centre of health and wellbeing in the community, but also a hope of safety from the potential threats and natural vulnerabilities of the community. This has been our end goal and solution in addressing the problems of Real, Quezon.

In addition to these, we have incorporated sustainable design tactics in order to make the structure as close to its natural environment as possible. Lastly, the use of locally sourced materials for the evacuation facility is observed to amplify its sustainable design & provide ease in modularity.
