CONCEPT
Bakhaw is a native term for the mangrove tree, and the province has a successful initiative of growing this self-sustaining ecological asset that leads to international recognition. Hawakan is a general term with branches of meaning as “to experience”, ‘’to hold it with care”and “kapit” holding together or bayanihan. This proposal aims to establish a collaboration between the local community and the tourist to preserve this global treasure and promote eco-tourism.
The architectural development has a surreal undulating experience while offer relaxing and peaceful ambiance all throughout the tour, the wooden trail leads the visitor to different spaces occur various function such as sports, educational and recreational amenities, at the end of the trail is an exciting view of the sea, the cold breeze of the northeast monsoon also added to the background of how beautiful the adventure is while having picnic or drinks at the open bar, that is not the end they also have the chance to eat the exotic food unique to the locals extracted by the visitors.
