CONCEPT

This Sudlong Retirement & Recreation Resort with a Tropical Modernism Architecture for elderly is specifically design to addressed a range of natural elements, focuses on ventilation, and integration. It showcases the tension between the functional structures and natural contexts. It was designed as a shelter straddling the mountainside. Perched atop a rim overlooking an impressive landscape surrounds it , it is also anchored to its surroundings while keeping a sense of transparency and lightness. Timber was used to reinforce the design’s lightweight character and balance the stone wall that grounds in some part of the elderly shelter.
