CONCEPT
Pitak-Pitak is a social park along the Mactan Channel that celebrates Cebu’s heritage as a “puzzle of identities,” weaving together its culture, history, cuisine, crafts, mythology, and nature. At its heart, the Crown Pavilion symbolizes Cebu’s royal title as the Queen City, hosting vibrant performances and cultural events. Iconic elements are reimagined throughout the park: Magellan’s Cross as historical markers, handcrafted guitars in craft stalls, and lechon as the centerpiece of food culture. Lush bougainvillea landscapes provide serene pathways, while the Balangay-inspired esplanade connects visitors to Cebu’s communal roots. Mythology comes alive through a glowing Bakunawa sculpture, illuminating the night with Cebuano stories. Built on the former jetty site of the CCLEX, Pitak-Pitak transforms an underused space into a living tapestry of identity—where every feature contributes to the city’s enduring legacy and inspires future generations.
